A giant fireball-like meteor that shot across West Michigan skies late last week and it was caught by several West Michigan security cameras.

The fireball meteor, not to be confused with Fireball, the whiskey, shot through the air early Friday morning and was caught by Dan Kloosterman's doorbell camera early Friday morning, according to WOOD-TV 8.

Christine Ford's doorbell cam also caught the fireball as it shot over West Michigan.

According to to the American Meteor Society, a meteor is considered a "fireball" if it is exceptionally bright, or as bright as the planet Venus, in the night sky.

Friday's meteor was reported to be seen in three states, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.
