There are definitely some rim-rattling potholes to be found in greater Grand Rapids and across West Michigan.

It's not difficult to find those stinkin' tire-killers! Just go out and drive a little.

More than 140 entries from across Michigan were shared of what were believed the worst potholes around and entered for West Michigan's Worst Pothole Contest, sponsored by Schneider Tire Outlet, Inc., of Marne.

After poring through those eye-opening entries, West Michigan's Worst Pothole is found in Holland.

Cody Overway says he didn't have to trek far to find West Michigan's Worst Pothole.

He found it in front of his Holland home in the 700 block of Lillian Street.

Overway said:

That bad boy was actually in front of my house. I came home from work and there it was. A massive crater in the ground."

For his photography and documenting efforts of the Lillian Street pothole (attention Holland Street Department), he wins a $500 cash prize from Classic Hits 98.7 WFGR, 97.9 'GRD Rocks, Channel 95.7, 100.5 The River and 1410 AM The Touch.

"I can't believe I won," Overway said.

It was tough selecting a winner, with many excellent entries for dastardly potholes.
