Actually they are TEAL ribbons. And it has to do with Ovarian Cancer research. September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. And the program called "Turn The Towns Teal" is helping with that.

The Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance has their first "Shake Your Teal Feathers walk" Saturday September 14th at Rosa Parks Circle. To get involved, click on THIS LINK here. About 1 in 70 women get ovarian cancer. My mom had it, and has been cancer free for over 20 years. So this is kind of personal for me.
