Here's a hint: it's a drinking game I don't know the rules to, because most of the time it's NOT a drinking game.

Each State's Top Drinking Was Based On The Results Of Google Searches

The web site SolitaireBliss recently posted the results of their Google Analytics search for the top drinking games, state-by-state.

The top drinking game in the most number of states was King's Cup, followed closely by Beer Pong, Bocce (lawn bowling), Beer Die, Kan Jam and Drunk Jenga (below). More on those later...

But Michigan's top drinking game puzzled me, because I never knew it was a drinking game. Until now.

So What Is The Top Drinking Game In Michigan?

Cornhole. Yup, cornhole.

The old sack tossing game was tops among Google drinking game searches in Michigan, making it our default state drinking game.

So, what are the rules for 'drinking' cornhole? Well, they're plentiful.

The basic drinking version of the game, includes simply playing a regular version of the game and then adding rules to drink by: a drink per cornhole, a drink per point, foul chugs and reverse foul chugs.

You can also purchase a special drinking cornhole board that has several additional holes bored into it, each with their own command: 'I DRINK, 'YOU DRINK' and the ever popular, 'EVERYONE DRINKS'.

Whatever Happened To 'QUARTERS'?

King's Cup is a fast based drinking game based on assignments given to cards in a standard deck.

Beer Pong, or 'Beirut', involves attempting to a bounce a ping pong ball into red solo cups set up pyramid style across from you on a long table.

Beer Die simply involves rolling a dice to determine how much you drink.

Kan Jam is a short course disc golf game that has been adapted to drinking a la cornhole.

Add in a drink for every total miss and a drink for every deflection, and you’ll have a good, long afternoon ahead of you.

Whatever to happened to old school drinking games I was raised on like Flip Cup or the traditional QUARTERS, otherwise known as 'Quarter Bounce' (with its totally messed up no pointing rule)?

Have they gone by the wayside, only to be resurrected by some drunk college kid in the year 2030?
