If you thought the 28th street thing was going to be big, you ain't seen nothing yet! MDOT has announced that the US 131 lane adding project will start Monday! Tax Day and A big 131 road construction start! Yes!

"MDOT is adding a new merge lane on northbound US-131 between Leonard Street and Ann Street this summer. The new lane will mean that there will be four lanes of traffic between Leonard and Ann when the construction is complete. But in the meantime, northbound US-131 will have at least one lane closed during construction and on some nights and weekends, two lanes may be closed. The eastbound ramp from I-196 to northbound US-131 and the Leonard Street ramp to northbound US-131 will also be closed. The project begins Monday, April 15 and is estimated to be completed by Wednesday, September 25."
