Whitmer Sends Senator Bat Cake After He Calls Her ‘Bat**** Crazy’
State Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey, R-Jackson, got a surprise for his 65th birthday on Thursday.
Fox 17 reports that Shirkey received a bat-themed birthday cake at his office from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
At a speaking event for Republican students at Hillsdale College in November, Shirkey commented that Whitmer and other Democratic members of the state legislature were "on the bats*** crazy spectrum."
Shirkey's press secretary Amber McCann says, "He very much appreciates the gesture of good humor."
