Thing you should not do, mess with a flight attendant on a plane.

According to MLive, Amy Jo-Manshum John was flying from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Grand Rapids, Michigan, when she interfered with a flight crew and hit a flight attendant.

John is being charged with two counts and could get up to 20 years in a federal prison.

The woman apparently was unruly and she assaulted a flight attendant.

The incident took place December 14 while flying Allegiant Airlines Flight 1795 which was a non stop flight from Hollywood International Airport in Florida to the Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids.

Assistant United States Attorney, Clay West said, "specifically, while the flight was in progress, defendant swung her arm twice at the flight attendant to strike her."

The indictment stated that John had also tried to intimidate 3 other flight attendants in a way that kept them from being able to do their jobs with the other passengers. The defendant was disruptive, unruly and disobedient during the flight.

If convicted, John could be looking at prison time plus three years on supervised release and have to pay a fine of $250,000.

John has yet to have her day in federal court.
