Yesterday a young girl floating on a tube, drifted out into the Straits of Mackinac and was rescued by one of the Mackinac Island ferries.

Star Line Mackinac Island Ferry posted on their Facebook page that they were proud of one of their crews for going above and beyond to rescue the girl.

According to 9&10 News, the crew heard that the girl had blown into the straits, so they went out to look for her and help rescue her.

The crew of the Joliet found the girl about a quarter-mile offshore and was able to get her on their boat.
