Nik Henderson from Village Studio and his friend, Marcus Rietsma, took their camera drone out for a flight above the Lake Michigan shoreline in Grand Haven to capture some stunning footage of the ice melt in progress.

While this is gorgeous, I still can't wait until I'm out at City Beach lying in the sand while knocking back an Oberon.

When you consider that we have had over two weeks of fairly steady sunshine and above average temps, this is a testament to how thick the ice got this winter.

I love the other worldliness of some of those sand formations, and the height of the ice flows. The sand build up that far out is pretty heavy.

The soundtrack is from Pretty Lights.
