Friday night, February 3rd, Lynyrd Skynyrd hit Grand Rapids' new concert venue, 20 Monroe Live, for a packed show with special guest Laith Al-Saadi. It was a really cool show, with all the Skynyrd hits you've been singing for decades.

Party on.

It was a year ago today that Glenn Frey, the Michigan born singer-songwriter from the Eagles passed away. And an obviously sad Bob Seger has released a tribute song to him on his web site.

Hint: It's not Eminem (he actually wasn't even born in Michigan), Mike Posner, or Ted Nugent.  In fact, it's not Kid Rock, Stevie Wonder, or Iggy Pop either.  So, who is it then? It's Madonna!  That's right, The Queen of Pop is Michigan's top selling artist, with 305,786,000 total albums sold, 8 number 1 albums, and over $1 Billion of revenue from live concerts...

This is pretty genius.

I have a list of what I consider the best Rock songs or ballads of all time. Near the top of that list is Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. That song is just a masterpiece on so many levels. Several people have done their own versions of that song. Now you can hear "Bohemian Rhapsody" as played on an antique fairground organ...

The Internet, all too often, is a mean place, full of trolls and nasty commenters and cyber-bullying. But sometimes, it does something beautiful.

Reindeer aren't the only animals that work it on Christmas.
