August 24, 2011 My Facebook friend Ron sent me a message this morning. "Did you donate to Stephen Colbert's super pac? I saw your name crawl at the bottom of his show last night. It was in the opening segment I believe" was his message. I laughed outloud! The fact that someone thinks I have enough disposable income to waste on something as frivolous as a fake TV news show's Political Action Committee is very funny to me.

First he found Bin Laden and now he’s quieting the cries of our nation’s babies. In an official White House video that’s circulating today, Barack and Michelle Obama are greeting a crowd of visitors when the first lady picks up a fan’s baby. As the national average for gas hit the highest level since 2008 at $4.11 (the national average), we were paying $4.29 a gallon across West Michigan last week. There seems to be some relief in sight… at least in the short term.
