Teen Arrested for Threatening Students at West Catholic High School

A student at West Catholic High School has been arrested following threats made to fellow students on Instagram.

The Grand Rapids Police Department was contacted by administrators at West Catholic on Sunday regarding the threats. Some students were told not to go to school on Monday, while others were told that some type of harm would come to them.

Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park’s Butterfly Exhibition Opens March 1

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park’s annual Butterflies Are Blooming exhibition opens March 1 and runs through April 30.

Butterflies Are Blooming will mark 20 years by bringing more than 7,000 tropical butterflies to West Michigan.

More than 170,000 people visit the exhibit each year, Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park officials said.
