‘Church of the Poison Mind’ by Culture Club

"Church of the Poison Mind" was a 1983 single for the British New Wave band Culture Club. It was released as the lead single from their second - and most successful - album Colour by Numbers. The song reached #2 in the United Kingdom, being kept off the top spot by David Bowie's "Let's Dance". It was also a Top 10 hit in the United States and Canada. In America it was still climbing the charts when "Karma Chameleon" was released elsewhere, and subsequently became a big hit. This prompted Epic Records to release "Karma" ahead of schedule.
