First, there was Steven Tulloch and his injury while celebrating, and now the Detroit Lions have lost another player to an even goofier injury: Tight End Joseph Fauria went down to an ankle injury because of his dog peeing!

You cannot STOP a puppy from peeing inside the house -- you can only hope to contain it. Fauria created quite the back story to explain his sprained ankle – an injury that caused him to miss Sunday’s game against the Jets.

The tight end claims he hurt himself late last week, jumping down the stairs, in an attempt to stop his puppy, Lil' Rufio, from PEEING inside the house. That’s right… that’s the story -- and there isn’t even a timetable yet on his return.

As a Lions fan, I might be outraged by Fauria's inability to play because of a such a silly incident. But then I saw the dog, and the little half-Husky, half-Pomerian may be the cutest dog on the planet. How can you get mad at a dog that as his own Instagram account and is named after a "Hook" character?

What do you think: Does this story sound bogus to you?
