Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sir Elton John has carved out one of the most illustrious music careers of the past half-century.

He is the third most successful artist in the history of the American music charts, behind only Elvis Presley and The Beatles.

His home away from his United Kingdom home is Las Vegas, where he the resident artist at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from March 18 to April 14. And you can win a trip to see him in concert there through 98.7 WFGR!

A five-time Grammy Award winner, he has also won an Academy Award (for his song "Can You See the Love Tonight" in the 1995 Disney movie The Lion King) and a Tony Award (for his score for the musical Aida).

Celebrating his 68th birthday on March 25, John got married in December to his longtime partner, David Furnish.

John heads out on his U.S. tour starting Wednesday in Huntsville, Ala., with a handful of dates away from Las Vegas.

For the tour, he and his band will be playing tracks from his five-decade career, including selections from the album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which got reissued last year for its 40th Anniversary Special Edition.
