So, I wrote this on Lauren's Facebook page today.

I can't take credit for it. It comes from the mouth of Col. Sherman Potter of the 4077th M*A*S*H, written by Ken Levine and David Issacs.

From the "M*A*S*H" episode "Goodbye, Radar."

Let me set the scene. Cpl. Radar O'Reilly, the 4077th M*A*S*H unit's clerk, is on his way home. His Uncle Ed passed away and he's getting a hardship discharge. He's considering staying, thinking he's more needed in Korea than in Iowa.

Col. Potter stands up and says:

Listen, Radar. I guess you realize I'm kinda fond of you. Lord knows, I've never met a soul I could depend on more. But above all that, you've been a damn good friend.

Well, friend, it's time we said good-bye. Time you got on with your life. You've come as far as you can go here. You've earned your wings. Now you've gotta fly."

Remember to have a good time in Nebraska, Lauren.
