Grand Rapids Makes Another “Best Of” List!

First we were a dying city, then came the lip dub. Next, we were a "great place to relocate to", then we became "a great place to live". Now we are a "Great Place to Retire" to! According to "Where to Retire” magazine, Grand Rapids is one of 8 "Dynamic Heartland Havens" to retire to! We have it all, great place to relocate to, live and retire to! Next thing "Funeral Director" magazine will name Grand Rapids as "A great place to die"! OK, maybe not!

Grand Rapids, along with Ames, Iowa; Bellevue, Nebraska; Bloomington, Indiana; Branson, Missouri; Lawrence, Kansas; Madison, Wisconsin and Woodstock, Illinois are great Midwest paces to settle down and enjoy the good life. Mary Lu Abbott, editor of "Where to Retire" magazine says “Boomers are finding the Heartland to be friendly and inviting, where residents are patriotic and volunteers are passionate,”
