Mortality
Safety of Care
Readmissions
Patient Experience
Effectiveness of Care
Timeliness of Care
Efficient Use of Medical Imaging

The most impressive part of all of this ... in the whole nation there are only 102 '5 star' rated hospitals based on the July 2016 numbers.

Of course they are proud of the rating at the hospital as well.

“Our 5-star rating is a reflection of our ongoing efforts to provide the highest quality of care across our entire range of services,” said Mark Pawlak, Senior Vice President of Quality and Hospital Operations at Holland Hospital. “We know that health care consumers are doing more comparative research to find the best quality for their health care dollars. The Hospital Compare website gives consumers another opportunity to compare hospitals.”

The Grand Rapids proper hospitals did pretty good too. With 3 hospitals grabbing the '4 star' rating. Metro Health in Wyoming, Saint Mary's Health Care, and Spectrum Health in Zeeland. - More info
