Well, to be fair, it's off-off-local Election Day!

Still, important drain commission-type and -like decisions will be made. Actually that's not far off, but actually some important things are being voted on today.

WZZM has a clear, concise overview of Tuesday's Election. "Tuesday GR residents vote on income tax extension"

In Grand Rapids, voters are also being asked to approve an extension of an income tax increase first approved by voters in 2010. The money will be used to repair crumbling city roads and sidewalks. Groups for and against the proposal spent Monday calling voters and encouraging them to get out to the polls.

Polls are open today from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. EST. WZZM-13 is to have results.

As they say in Chicago: Vote early and vote often!
