Lynyrd Skynyrd Announces U.S. Summer Tour and Simple Man Cruise
Lynyrd Skynyrd has announced 19 summer dates across the U.S. in 2014, with their final at-sea concert voyage to follow in November on the Simple Man Cruise.
The southern rock legends begin the tour with an April 4 show in Mesa, Ariz., continue through to a September 13 concert in Pittsburgh. Go to Skynyrd’s official site for more details.
Meanwhile, the Simple Man Cruise, which also includes Foghat and Starship featuring Mickey Thomas in 2014, will sail Nov. 16-20, with stops in Key West, Fla., and the Bahamas along the way. The band says that this eighth cruise will be their last.
Lynyrd Skynyrd, recently inducted into the Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame, is led by Gary Rossington, the band’s last remaining original member. Skynyrd has issued several new albums since reforming in the early ’90s, the most recent of which was 2012’s ‘Last of a Dyin’ Breed.’
