Man Fishes Live Grenade Out of Lake

A man fishing reeled in a sock and discovered it contained a hand grenade with the safety pin intact. Hello!

He wisely placed the sock and its contents on some rocks and then called the police.

The Fire Department bomb squad took X-ray images to check it out.

The Army described it as "Mark 2 pineapple grenade from the Vietnam era". They also concluded the it was still very much live, and potentially dangerous.
