Travis Trice had 24 points, Denzel Valentine had 18 points and Branden Dawson added six points and 11 rebounds to lead Michigan State past Oklahoma 62-58 on Friday night in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in Syracuse, N.Y.

The eight-seeded Spartans (26-11) advanced to the Elite Eight in the East Region with the triumph at Syracuse University's Carrier Dome.

Third-seeded Oklahoma (24-11) got 21 points from Buddy Hield and 16 points and seven rebounds from TaShawn Thomas.

The Spartans play fourth-seeded Louisville (27-8), a 75-65 winner over eighth-seeded North Carolina State (22-14), on Sunday afternoon for a spot in the NCAA Final Four in Indianapolis. Montrezl Harrell's 24 points and seven rebounds led the Cardinals and Trevor Lacey's 18 points led the Wolfpack.
