Traverse City's Joshua Davis seems to have saved his best performances for when it counts the most on NBC's singing competition, 'The Voice'.

Davis wowed judge Pharrell Williams with a Zydeco, New Orleans style take on the U2 classic, 'Desire'.

Davis, whose been known to put a Zydeco twist on things from his days with the Lansing band Steppin' In It, took the U2 song in a whole new direction, giving what judge Pharrell Williams referred to as  "even more better" than anything Joshua has done.

Maroon 5 front man and Joshua's mentor on the show, Adam Levine, agreed, saying "you're doing what you're supposed to be doing up there...having the time of your life..."

The competition is down to six remaining contestants, and will thin the pack down to four on tonight's results show which airs at 8:00pm on WOOD-TV 8.

The Wealthy Theater, 1130 Wealthy St. SE, has been holding viewing parties for the show during Joshua's run to the final shows. Although that may end if Joshua advances to next Monday's final four, as the Theater is booked.

If you weren't able to vote for Joshua last night and you happen to like his version of 'Desire', buy it on iTunes and that purchase will count toward his total.
