The state of New York is ahead of the times. Good for them. They just spent around $600,000 on new highway signs. And it will be worth every penny. Smart people (and governments) take existing infrastructure and adapt they usefulness to the 21st century. In New York's case, it's rest areas.

With gas station/convenience store/fast food stops at every off ramp on the highway, who really goes to most rest stops other than an emergency bathroom break or a dog break. So New York is renaming rest stops "Text Stops" You can pull over at an existing rest stop to send that all important text without having to do it while driving.

Brilliant. Sheer brilliance. Yahoo explains "New York state to add signs alerting drivers to "text stops"

Way to go New York. Nothing more to be said. Other than "It Can Wait"
