A classic American cookie is getting a new look.

Nabisco has announced Oreo Thins will go on sale next week. The cookie is thinner and has less filling than the classic Oreos, although your waist may still expand when you eat them. That's because four Oreo Thins have 140 calories, compared to 160 calories for three of the traditional Oreos.

The thin cookies, which will be a permanent fixture on store shelves, are meant to appeal to an adult demographic and, perhaps most shocking, are not designed to be twisted or put in milk, which are two of the more popular ways to enjoy Oreos.

Oreo Thins will come in original, mint and golden flavors.

What do you think? Is a "sophisticated" Oreo a good idea or do you think this idea will flop? Will you try Oreo Thins?
