Russian Army Sings ‘Barbie Girl’ [Video]

Why are these Russian Army recruits singing 'Barbie Girl', the 1997 hit by the Swedish group Aqua?

I have no idea, but if they were coming toward me in battle singing that, I would die laughing, so maybe it's strategic.

It's just weird to hear soldiers say "You can brush my hair/undress me everywhere"

This video reminds me of so many things, like this scene in 'Stripes' where they sing 'Doo Wah Diddy'.

And this scene from Monty Python, where they fight the enemy using comedy.
