Now that he's figured out how to work his new bionic knees, Ted Nugent is ready to get back on the road.

Nugent has announced his next round of dates, which will keep him busy throughout July and August with what's being billed as the Shutup & Jam! Tour. The stops include DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston on July 19.

This string of shows will include Nugent's 6,500th career concert, as well as introduce audiences to a smattering of new material from a new album due later this year, also titled "Shutup & Jam!"

"Though we can all agree that music is the ultimate communication, killer rock-n-roll is also the ultimate soul cleansing distraction from everyday life," Nugent said in a prepared statement. "I predict the most fun tour of our lives. Politics be damned! Shutup and jam!"

Nugent's band for this outing will include bassist Greg Smith on bass guitar, drummer and golf cart enthusiast 'Wild' Mick Brown, and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Derek St. Holmes. The new album will be his first since 2007's 'Love Grenade.'
