The Intersection has announced that tickets for the April 23 Todd Rundgren concert go on sale Feb.

It's been 17 years since the singer, songwriter and producer last visited Grand Rapids. The doors open at 7 p.m. for his 8 p.m. EST performance at The Intersection, 133 Grandville Avenue SW in Grand Rapids.

Tickets are $35 in advance, $39.50 day of show, $49.50 VIP, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 17 via Etix.

Tickets are also available at The Intersection box office; Vertigo Music, 129 S. Division Ave. in Grand Rapids; Purple East, 250 Ionia Street SW in Grand Rapids; and Shakedown Street, 670 Leonard Avenue NW in Grand Rapids.

His 1972 album "Something/Anything" defined my freshman year in high school. So, I'll always have a place in my heart for songs like "Hello It's Me."

I remember staying up to see this performance on the old "Midnight Special" TV show, and was blown away by his odd choice of eye decoration.
