The old adage "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself" is right up Wade Baumgardner and Keith Brown's alley. Taking a cue from the PotHole Robin Hood, the two Grand Rapids residents took matter into their own hands, doing something the city claimed they couldn't do.

They fished the blue dumpster that was left over the the historic spring floods out of the Grand River. Our broadcast partner WZZM had this story "River rats" wrestle dumpster out of the Grand River"

"On Monday afternoon, Brown and buddy Wade Baumgardner wrestled the two-ton trash container from its resting place near the Bridge Street Bridge to the rocky shore along Ah-Nab-Awen Park. Last April, the bright blue trash container floated down from Riverside Park and was in prominent view in one of the most scenic sections in downtown Grand Rapids.

Brown and Baumgardner, who call themselves "river rats," decided to do something about it."

Good job guys! Come on Grand Rapids! Give these can do guys a job!
