WhiteCaps Season Comes To An End

All good things come to an end, and for the Caps tonight was that ending point. A long rain delay and a fast start from the visiting Ft. Wayne TinCaps ended the West Michigan season at Fifth Third ballpark Friday night 6-2.

The regular season first half Eastern Division champs lost Wednesday night and struggled after that game, only getting 10 hits in the last 2 games to fall to the TinCaps 2 games to 1. Still a successful season for the Caps. Remember the year started off with the fire at the ballpark, continued on 3 months later to opening night, and included the Midwest League All Star game. Throw in their first playoff appearance in 4 seasons and great weather most of the summer, and overall it was another great year in Whitecaps history!
