The West Michigan Sports Commission’s baseball and softball complex in Rockford is now officially called the Meijer Sports Complex. It's part of a 10-year partnership between the two West Michigan organizations.

On Thursday, April 1st, it will be the Detroit Tigers Opening Day game against the Cleveland Indians at Comerica Park. It was announced this morning that there can be 8,200 fans in the stands for that game!
The coronavirus was the big winner when it came to baseball for the West Michigan Whitecaps in 2020. The entire season was cancelled. The team is gearing up for the 2021 season, in hopes that they will be able to hit the field this spring.
