Baseball players have long been known for their superstitious rituals before approaching the plate, but no Major Leaguer's ritual can compare to this Japanese teenager's.

First, a note about the Japanese high school baseball tournament. It is the highest rated sporting event year in and year out in Japan. The closest thing in the United States I can think of that may be comparable is the March Madness college basketball tournament.

This player is participating in that tournament, and he has a crazy way of preparing for the pitch that involves Star Wars level light saber-like bat twirling skills, an odd jump/squat move and dance steps that would advance him to the next round of 'So You Think You Can Dance'. Watch for yourself.
