Violence broke out over the weekend at a long time CMU drinking hole.

Anyone who's ever attended Central Michigan University has spent a Happy Hour or two (or 300) at the famed Wayside Central bar at the corner of Mission and Broomfield Roads.

Three students were stabbed following an altercation at the bar late Saturday night. The incident occurred just before midnight. Luckily, none of the injuries were serious, and a suspect was apprehended on campus about 90 minutes later.

The bar stayed open at the urging of authorities following the incident. On the bar's Facebook page the club explained the reason for that:

"...we maintained business operations to create a perimeter and we assisted in (gathering) information from witnesses as well as obtaining critical video surveillance."

No further details about the suspect or the motive have been released.
