#10 Hell, Michigan
Who knew that when someone told you to go to Hell, they were telling you to go to a town in Michigan? For those religious folks trying to stay out of the fiery pits of Hell, avoid Livingston County just northwest of Ann Arbor about 15 miles and you should be good.
#9 World's Largest Cherry Pie Pan
Can you imagine if that was a warm apple pie? King Kong could...well, the American Pie movie scene. Lol. If you want to see this amazing feat of engineering, this giant-sized pie pan is located in Traverse City and once held a cheery pie that weighed 17,420 pounds.
#8 World's Largest Steering Wheel
Onaway, Michigan was once the steering wheel capital of the world but now all that's left is this 30-foot-tall steering wheel. Onaway once steered the world but a tragic fire in 1926 brought the steering capital to nothing but ruins.
#7 A Two-Story Outhouse
A two-story outhouse, I'm just gonna let that one sink in for a second...we all know what rolls downhill so is this like the top bunk in bunk beds? If so, you are going to want to be using the top stall. This monstrosity is located in Cedar Lake, Michigan just south of M-46 north of Pere Marquette Rail-Trail in case you need a bathroom break.
#6 World's Largest Wooden Dome
Do you remember the Pontiac Silverdome where the Detroit Lions once played? This isn't it but it's called the Superior Dome and football is played inside. This 536-foot structure is located on the campus of Northern Michigan University. The field will handle football, soccer, and field hockey. When you roll the turf back there are three basketball/volleyball courts, two tennis courts, and a 200-meter track. The difference between the Superior Dome and the Silver Dome is the Superior Dome is still standing and functioning.
#5 World's Largest Front Porch
Who doesn't love a good porch? This one is so big you could have a family reunion on it and still not fill all the chairs. The world's largest porch is at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. It was built in 1887 and is 660 feet long.
#4 World's Largest Tire
This 12-ton, 80-foot-tall Uniroyal is the world's largest tire. I have driven by this behemoth piece of rubber on I-94 several times while passing through Allen Park. The tire has been alongside I-94 since 1966 but before became a roadside monument it functioned as a Ferris wheel at the New York World's Fair in 1964. There used to be Ferris wheel seats in the center of the tread.

I'm surprised the world's largest nut located in Lansing hasn't been used in a Viagara TV commercial but there's always hope. If you've ever been to a West Michigan Whitecaps game, you may have seen them play the minor league baseball team the Lansing Lugnuts. The big nut on the top of the smokestack is right across the street from the Lugnuts Cooley Law School Stadium and is a symbol for the team. I thought this nut was a symbol of a company that made lugnuts but I stand corrected. I wonder if this lugnut would fit on that Uniroyal Tire?
#2 World's Largest Log Cabin
Marquette is where you will find the world's largest log cabin. This 26,000-square-foot log cabin is called Gronot Loma sits on 5,000 acres of land and faces Lake Superior. This cabin is 101 years old and if you want to stay in it, you have to buy it but that won't come cheap because the last time it was listed on the market the price tag was $40 million.
#1 Giant Carrots
I'm sure you have heard of Field of Dreams, but have you heard of the Meadow of Giant Carrots? You will find these 10-foot-tall carrots just north of Ann Arbor. Not sure if these carrots have anything to with something like Stone Henge but they are located outside the warehouse that is used by Food Gatherers which is a food brand and food rescue organization.
