West Michigan Teen’s Unsolved Murder Featured on Popular Podcast

A young man who was shot and killed while riding his bike in Wyoming, Michigan in 2022 was recently featured on a popular podcast.

Kane Coronado

Kane Coronado is a young man originally from White Cloud, Michigan, who loved riding his bike. Coronado was part of a bike group called Big Rippers 616 that was based out of Grand Rapids. He is known for riding his bike and from what everyone says, he was rather good at it.

Coronado was enjoying a nice ride on his bike in Wyoming on Indian Mounds Drive at about ten minutes to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, when someone drove by and shot him in the neck killing him.

Police do not know if the shooting was something that was targeted or just a random killing. There was a witness who attempted CPR on Coronado but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

On the anniversary of Coronado's death, November 1, 2023, a $5,000 reward was offered by Silent Observer but was quickly upgraded to $6,000 courtesy of a local donor.

According to WZZM, the above picture is one that a police artist drew based on a witness describing the man they saw in the area at the time of the shooting. The man was said to be driving a gray or silver four-door Chevrolet Cavalier that was from 2000 to 2005.

Coronado's Murder Recently Featured on the True Crime Garage Podcast

Police are still investigating Coronado's murder and that is why a reward has been put in place. A very popular podcast called True Crime Garage recently did a podcast regarding Coronado's murder that provides a lot more details than the local news outlets.
