Orkin just dropped the bug bomb if you will, and two Michigan cities are owning their spots on the notorious bed bug cities list. Orkin based their list on treatment data from December 2022 to November 2023 – you know, the places where they were battling bed bugs the most.

The data shows that these two Michigan cities are in the thick of it, wrestling with bed bugs not just in cozy living spaces but also in bustling commercial spots. (So, you're not in the clear just because you own your home. You can get them from work / stores too.)

Which cities in Michigan are the worst for bed bugs?

If you want to avoid Bed Bugs, you'll want to avoid Detroit. It has the worst bed bug problem in the state of Michigan, and it's number 6 in the nation. It ranked in the same spot last year, so it doesn't appear they're turning the ship around on that battle anytime soon.

Meanwhile the second worst city in the state for bed bugs lives on the opposite side of the state...

Grand Rapids is number two in the state, and 14th in the nation for bed bugs. However, good news for west siders, Grand Rapids dropped two spots on the list in the past year, meaning that at least their problem is getting slightly smaller.
