Michigan Is Providing Free Condoms During The Pandemic
To be fair, free condoms have long been available from your local county health departments, but since they're closed, the State has stepped in.
In an effort to stave another possible epidemic, this one of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), the State of Michigan will mail you free condoms while you're obeying the 'Stay At Home' order. And they will do it in a tasteful, unmarked envelope.
If you and your partner are staying home together, you can send an e-mail to mdhhs-freecondoms@michigan.gov and request condoms. Just include your name and address.
You will receive condoms in the mail to help protect you against unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections while you protect yourself and your community from the spread of COVID-19.
"It's completely anonymous," Lynn Sutfin, Michigan Department of Health and Human services spokeperson told the Detroit Free Press.
The envelope contains 10 condoms and 10 individual packages of lubricant.
"Even during this public health crisis, we want people to be able to prevent unintended pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections and HIV," Sutfin said.
