For generations of music fans, Las Vegas has always been seen as the place where showbiz, the antithesis of rock, reigned supreme.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sir Elton John has carved out one of the most illustrious music careers of the past half-century. He is the third most successful artist in the history of the American music charts, behind only Elvis Presley and The Beatles. His home away from his United Kingdom home is Las Vegas, where he the resident artist at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from March 18 to April 14.

Undefeated professional boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr., is returning to the ring in May. The 37-year-old Grand Rapids native, now of Las Vegas, has agreed to box Manny Pacquaio in a welterweight world championship unification bout on May 2 to be broadcast live on pay-per-view. The fight is to be at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

British artist Mark Kennedy specializes in mosaics. With his father being "massive fan" of undefeated professional boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr., he created a piece of the 37-year-old Grand Rapids native. The 5,000-tile, black-and-white mosaic is going up for auction next Saturday in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Floyd "Money" Mayweather, Jr., says he's ready to fight. The question is when Manny Pacquaio will come around to do that with the 37-year-old boxing champion from Grand Rapids and now of Las Vegas.

This date wont happen again for another 100 years. AND one like it wont happen for 89 years. 12/13/14!
