Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Walter Becker and Donald Fagen will bring Steely Dan to the road in this summer, taking their Jamalot Ever After Tour across the U.S. and Canada.
Steely Dan is one of my top five favorite bands ever; I consider Donald Fagen to be a genius.
I’ve also been going through Boz Scaggs’ complete discography recently and I feel no shame admitting that I’m a Michael McDonald fan.
So how did I not know that all three are in a super group called The Dukes of September?!
David Palmer, who sang lead for Steely Dan in the early days, is suing his old band. In a suit filed in Los Angeles on Friday (Feb. 28), Palmer claims that he is owed money as a result of royalties earned via satellite and streaming services.
Katy Lied is the fourth album by Steely Dan, originally released in 1975 by ABC Records. It went gold and peaked at #13 on the US charts. The single "Black Friday" also charted at #37.
