There is another water woe in Michigan. Steps to reduce corrosion in aging water pipes began in 2019, just a few months after tests revealed concerning results in Benton Harbor. Now, some in Grand Rapids are gathering bottled water to send to Benton Harbor.
The City of Grand Rapids recently took to social media to address a different smell and taste of the city's water. Some were concerned over it's safety. City officials say it's nothing to worry about as our water is safe to drink.
Meijer and Consumer's Energy will be handing out bottled water, bags of ice, and ice cream to those without power at the American Legion Cedar Springs Post on Monday, July 22 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
