August 13, 2012 Police have apprehended a man they think shot "multiple" people at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. CNN is reporting numerous law enforcement officers were among the victims. The College Station Police department said they don't have a definitive number of victims at this time. The shooting took place about a block from campus, and at least one civilian was shot in the attack.
James Holmes, the alleged gunman in the Aurora, Colo, movie theater shootings was back in court today. The former doctorate student was formally charged with 24 counts of murder and 116 counts of attempted murder for the July 20th attack during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, in which 12 people died and another 58 were injured.
