If you are a college hockey fan, or even just a hockey fan in Michigan, you have probably heard that Michigan and Michigan State's hockey programs are leaving the CCHA for the newly created Big Ten Hockey Conference. That leaves schools like Western and Ferris State without a place to play in the next couple of years.

Western has it a little easier...Division 1 school, and it's rumored they will follow fellow CCHA school Notre Dame whereever they land. Ferris State is in a slightly different boat. Small school playing big time Division 1 college hockey.
