Michigans Economy Shows Major Improvments

Well, here’s some good news!!!
Michigan had the 6th fastest-growing gross domestic product in the nation last year! Yes!
The state’s GDP rose 2.3 percent last year after growing by 4.9 percent in 2010 – so things are on the upswing for a change around here – the nation’s overall GDP growth was at 1.5 percent, so we are above the average! We still have a long way to go, but this is some very good news for a change!
About half of Michigan’s growth last year came from durable-goods manufacturing, which of course has a lot to do with the Auto Industry coming back so fast!
