Universal Studios is going to try to reboot all the movie monster franchises it owns -- including Frankenstein, Dracula, The Wolf Man, Creature Of The Black Lagoon, The Invisible Man, Bride Of Frankenstein, and The Mummy -- into a single film narrative universe.

They want to do what Disney did for the Marvel superhero characters but using old school horror movie characters. The possibilities are endless. Frankenstein vs. The Mummy. Creature of the Black Lagoon Meets The Invisible Man. All that's missing is the tacky organ music soundtrack and Abbott and Costello.

According to the movie fan site Deadline, meeting have begun to reboot most, if not all, of the characters, commencing in April 2016 with "The Mummy".

It remains to be seen whether The Creature of the Black Lagoon will have the same draw as Captain America (I severely doubt it), but even if there is a percentage of the billions of dollars taken in by the Marvel crew, it may be worth it.
