Consumers Energy is expected to cut power at 9 p.m. to allow crews to repair damage from Sunday night's thunderstorms.

That wind and rain buried in a thunderstorm Sunday night that struck Kentwood just before 10:30 p.m. included a tornado, National Weather Service Grand Rapids meteorologist Brandon Hoving said. City officials are making every effort to bring life back to normal for people in Pilger, Nebraska. In case you’ve forgotten, that’s the town that was decimated by twin tornadoes a week ago.
