Two years ago, there were rumors that it may happen, and now it's official. Trader Joe’s is coming to Grand Rapids. A lease was signed on Dec. 22, 2014 between representatives of Trader Joe's East Inc. and Grand Rapids-based CWD Real Estate Investment, leasing Trader Joe’s space in Kentwood. Over the last 24 hours or so, Facebook and Twitter have been alive with Grand Rapidians posting about how happy they are that Trader Joe's and Whole Foods would be coming to Grand Rapids. But, it turns out that at least one of the grocery chains isn't planning to set up shop in GR any time in the near future.

A foodie's dream come true! Both Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are set to enter the Grand Rapids market sometime in the next year or so. Both chains having been eying GR for sometime now, and have finally put the wheels in motion to come to town!
