To say Two and a Half Men has Jumped the Shark is an insult to Ted McGinley. If The character actor who destroyed such classic TV shows as The Love Boat, Happy Days and Married...With Children showed up on TAAHM this year, someone at CBS should lose their job.

This season, almost certainly the last for the long time ratings leader for CBS, a new character is being introduced. Charlie Harper's long lost lesbian daughter Jenny will fill the void left by Angus T Jones departure from the show. Last year, Jones became very critical of the show, and even though he apologized for his online rant, he has been dropped for a new actress. Amber Tamblyn has been picked to play the new role.

"The character, Jenny, shows up in the CBS comedy’s Sept. 26 premiere upon moving from New York City to Los Angeles to pursue a career in showbiz. She ends up crashing with her Uncle Alan (Jon Cryer) and Walden (Ashton Kutcher).
“She’s somewhat of a chip off the old block,” explains exec producer Chuck Lorre of Jenny. “She’s having a good time and doesn’t care about the destruction left behind her. Decadence from the other side felt long overdue.”

So maybe she will bring the original snarky tone back to the show, it's probably way too little too late. The show has been moved from its cushy timeslot behind new comedy darling The Big Bang Theory at 8:30 to 9:30. Will be interesting to see how quick it gets axed.

RIP Charlie Harper. He's laughing all the way to the Old DBag Home in the sky.
