When Jon Bon Jovi spoke at the graduation for the Rutgers University Class of 2015, he gave a beautiful speech, full of optimism for the future.

And then he pulled out his guitar and sang a song he wrote for them.

The NewJersey native's song, 'Reunion,' was written specifically for the grads gathered at the Susquehanna Bank Center, a venue his band has played in the past.

“This isn't how the story ends, my friends, it's just a fork along the road,” the song began, which made it pretty appropriate for the occasion. The song concluded with the hopeful line "See you at the reunion."

Jon received an honorary doctorate of letters, not only for his career in showbiz, but for his philanthropy, which is focused on homelessness and poverty. Jon said he decided to take on the issue of homelessness back in 2006 after he saw a man on the street in Philadelphia. "I didn't need a scientist to find the cure," he told the graduates. "I needed someone to help me help those in need."

Here's Jon's entire address to the Rutgers graduation, in which he spoke about the trials and tribulations of keeping a band together, leadership and starting their own revolution.
