Well, Well, Well….Seriously, The Well Is Opening Up For Oil, And Grand Rapids Gas Prices Should Be Lowering!
The Department of Energy in cooperation with the International Energy Administration is opening strategic stockpiles for a non-disruption event. What does that mean for you and I, the home consumer? It means the price of gas should be coming down soon!
And it already has...since the price was at $4.29 a few weeks ago, gas is back to the $3.50 ish range. Gasbuddy has the lowest price in Grand Rapids at $3.47 right now. That's over an 80 cent drop in a short period of time. And with the announcement from President Obama that 30 million barrels will be released that price could dip below 3 dollars a gallon soon...yay!
Here's the whole story from Gasbuddy: "Government follows through, opens SPR, oil prices plunge"
Now if the price of owning a car would go down....;)
