The days and nights are starting to get a little shorter, which is our first signal that wintertime will soon be taking over in West Michigan.

So maybe it's time you get outside and enjoy some of the last rays of sunshine and warm weather that we have left in store at one of West Michigan's favorite patios.

Snug Harbor

If you're looking for a place to soak up the sun while also getting an incredible view, Snug Harbor located in Grand Haven may be the spot for you. Located just off lake Michigan, the inside area not only offers massive windows, but they also have a rooftop area that offers the best view at all.

Rockwell Republic

Rockwell Republic is a great place to gather with friends for a drink or three without the pressure of a fancy meal or spending tons on craft beers.

Located not far from the heart of downtown on Division, it's a scooter ride away from Art Prize and Studio Park, making it a great first or last spot for your evening.

Barrio

Sometimes you just need a margarita and to blow off some steam, and Barrio on Ottawa has just the right vibe for your end of summer, after work chill session.

They have a full menu, but to be honest, I rarely see anyone there with more than a drink in their hand, so don't feel shamed if you skip the tacos and nachos and double fist instead. Just, make sure you grab a water too.

The Deck in Muskegon

Sure you can visit the beach when it's not warm, but it doesn't feel as nice. This beachside bar in Muskegon is the best place to forget your troubles and enjoy the lingering warm weather.

They still have live performances scheduled, but make sure you enjoy them while you can. They'll be closing for the season on Sunday, September 25th.

Knoop Rooftop Beer Garden

Located above Portico, this cozy rooftop bar not only has some indoor options incase the weather goes south on you, but it also has an amazing view.

Don't expect to visit during the earlier half of the day, but if you're looking for a perfect first spot before a movie or date, this seems like a great spot. You can also make a reservation on their website.

Hopcat

Michigan's own Hopcat has two locations in West Michigan with excellent outdoor dining and drinking options.

So if you find yourself in Downtown Grand Rapids near Van Andel, or in Kalamazoo you can still get those amazing fries and your favorite beers while still catching a few rays of sunshine. Bonus: Their Kalamazoo location's patio is dog friendly, so you can bring your pooch too!
